Hole In the Wall. Doha, Qatar is a hub for cultural diversity and what comes with that is the emergence of rich culinary history and culture. Having different kinds of culture and people across the globe in one place created a demand for food choices in the city. The influx of workers from developing countries made a market for hole in the wall restaurants. This low vernacular restaurants found around the city emerged from that. This inspired the use of low vernacular imagery and a very sketchy, often snapshots of restaurants and street photographs.
